The Health Service in Spain is generally excellent. Spanish doctors are highly qualified, you get treated quickly and courteously and waiting lists are shorter than in many other countries. Accident and emergency services are plentiful and you should never be far from one. Even the local surgeries where you go to see your GP are usually well provisioned.
