On Our Way by Robin Graham. A great read.

An excellent article about moving to Spain by Robin Graham. Read the quote below then click through for more.

"So, on the practical front, I have nothing for you. Chances are there’s a forum out there for the country you have your eyes on. Just make sure you don’t listen to the negativity. Get the information you need but with a view to following your heart, not your head. You’re a grown-up, presumably. You know what a practicality looks like. When one comes along, deal with it. Better still, do your homework - see it coming. But never, ever be put off by opinions – the only one that counts, is yours"

Visiting Mojacar

I am on the Spanish road trip going down here and my first stop was in Mojacar. I was here to check out a Hotel that we have the sale in the town. It's a spectacular Hotel at a spectacular price. However I was blown away by the town itself, it is a lovely Andaluz white village set in the hillside overlooking the sea. Take a look at the pictures and if you're interested get in touch about the hotel. A decent business in a beautiful town doesn't come along every day.

Weatherproofing your home in Spain

If you own a house in Spain, you would well aware that, just like your old property, or family home, back in the UK or Ireland, the property needs maintenance from time to time and needs to be kept in good order.

This is for a variety of reasons and not just to keep it looking nice, although that is of course one major factor in having repairs and painting done, but a more important factor is to keep it weatherproof.

Many people new to Spain come with the false illusion that it’s hot and sunny all year round, however Spain is a large and very diverse country and no two areas have the same weather, in fact it can get quite cold and wet during the winter time.

The Spanish Property Magazine For iPad on YouTube

The tech behind this video is great but just to give you the basics of what it is first, this video is Spanish Property Magazine on the iPad demonstrated by me :-). The bit about the tech though for anyone wanting to do it themselves is as follows.

Install Reflection app on your Mac from Open the app and then go to your iPad and find iTunes. On the airplay button choose your Mac and toggle the "Allow Mirroring" tool button to on.

You should then see the display on your Mac.

Turn on Screenflow if you already have it (If you don't you can get it here) and start recording your screen.

Change to fullscreen and start the recording. (You can edit out the first few seconds later)

Anyway, watch the video below and please feel free to share it with others. I look forward to hearing your feedback

Postcard of thanks from a Visitor to Valencia - haspain's posterous

Just love this taken from Toni's Holiday Accommodation in Spain site.

Thank you for having me for the long weekend break, it was amazing!

Valencia is beautiful, having burnt myself on the first day turned out to be a blessing, meaning I didn´t want to spend the rest of my days on the gorgeous beaches, I actually got to see a good part of Valencia too!

The city centre is beautiful, so relaxed, mooching from plaza to plaza, ok a nice cool lager on each was a must, but isn´t obligatory, but it certainly helped! I didn´t even buy anything, think its the first time in a city where I was happy to just wander and admire the buildings and scenery without wanting to go into the shops and spend a fortune!

The City of Arts and Sciences was more stunning than I imagined it would be, I had seen photos in the brochures, but walking around it I was awe struck, so many photos to sort through now!

And of course as you so rightly recommended.. the Bioparc Zoo... what a great day out that was, sat on the terrace of the cafe having a "coke!" whilst the giraffes and antelope were going about there daily lives right in front of us. Just like being on safari in Africa. The whole setting of the place is so picturesque.

And I can´t say enough about the nightlife!.. the flamenco night was an eye opener, never really taken to that sort of music, but seeing it in real life, and the passion they put into the dancing, so glad to have witnessed it. As for the "locals bars", you have such a great selection in your "barrio" as you call it, we didn´t need to hit the "real" scene, although judging by the atmospere on the promenade and in the street market at 3am, I can imagine the bars and discos were heaving.

Once again a big thank you for your hopsitality, and i won´t be leaving it 4 years until we meet again my friend.

A Valencia Fan!

How Google killed the long tail

Love this. It shows why you shouldn't put your faith in traffic from google any longer. This is why the Facebook Page, the Magazines and the social traffic from places Google cannot finger (twitter and Facebook) is becoming ever more important.

How Google Killed the Longtail Infographic.

How does this affect my business? Well it gets me to think more about how to deal with web strategy and also offline strategy.

Great Value Property For Sale or Rent in La Pobla De Vallbona

Living in a village has many advantages over living in a villa outside of town, less need to use a car, more public transport options and lots of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. I live in La Pobla and one of my neighbours has decided to sell or rent their property which shares my garden. This means we have the advatages of a villa, a garden and pool we can use at any time, while at the same time having the advantages of living in the town.

The house has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens, two living areas, two terraces and a washroom in the 135m2 total. It shares the large and verdant garden with 21 other houses. Just 100 yards away you have a Mercadona supermarket, a large sports centre and the bus stop for getting into Valencia if you don't fancy using the car and the town is served by a metro line too. Take a look at the pictures and get in touch.

For sale at 180000 Euros or for rent (Or rental with an option to buy) at 550 Euros.
