Sunday in Valencia in the Paseo de la Alameda is one of the weirdest fiestas in the Valencia calendar. If the Tomatina is a mess as you get covered in Tomatoes while throwing things at people then the Battle of the Flowers is a bit more genteel. What happens is that a load of decorated floats with girls and women in Fallera dresses parade up and down the Paseo de La Alameda in Valencia avoiding the flowers and petals being thrown at them by using tennis racquets. Sounds fun?
It is happening tomorrow Sunday in the Paseo de la Alameda in the centre of Valencia in the afternoon/evening (Sorry but that is the best I can do. My mate Google won't tell me when.)
