For all of you near Valencia if you can make it on Saturday my wife is running two events. They are together so you don't need to go anywhere else. Firstly, we are going to have a meet the teacher and this is together with the book fair we are running.
Obviously we are very interested in promoting Usborne books because they complement the online reading course for children really well. Raining in Valencia - The Gota Fria
It's that time of year again when the deluge takes everyone by surprise, schools are closed, roads cut off, garages flooded and images of floating cars festoon our TV screens. The Gota Fria has arrived.
So for the uninitiated what is the Gota Fria? It is a monsoon like breaking of the summer that results in things like the below video. Enjoy the video and remember this usually lasts a few days to a maximum of a week. Be prepared for it but also remember that Valencia in general has around 300 days of sunshine per year to enjoy.

Spanish TV and Much More
I know I am always banging on here about how you should learn Spanish before coming here or see and use more of it if you are already here but it is difficult mainly because Spanish TV is quite frankly rather rubbish. If you are in the UK then you can get TVEi on the Sky box, I think it is channel 805 but I could be wrong. But you cannot get 297 Spanish channels.
